ReplyDeleteHi Viet,
ReplyDeleteYou bring up some interesting developments in Gainesville, and more broadly, Florida. The 20-year-old running for mayor seems like he has quite the challenge to stay in the race, much less win it. The push to increase the minimum wage should help bring many up to a livable wage. It will be interesting to see how Florida businesses react and adapt to it if the initiative gets on the ballot and passes. Regarding the Amazon delivery station, I agree that it should help people receive their orders sooner. Going forward, you could stay updated on the status of the new hotel development that was proposed for downtown Gainesville.
I see blood donation trucks everywhere, but I never see a line of people giving blood. Although the bad weather has effected the blood donations, I believe the bigger problem lies with the people themselves. The trucks, in my opinion, need to provide incentive and effort, human connection to entice people to give blood. In regards to the hotel trying to be built, I do not know the full story about said 'old building'. Is it historic? Does it have any meaningful value to the local community? What is the communities thoughts? These are other factors on who has the problem.
