1)1) What was the general theme or argument of the book?
Scott Adams is someone who was really not the type of success and it is not a typical success story. He overcomes many gaps and borders in order to finally achieve his goals which makes him unique.
2) How did the book, in your opinion, connect with and enhance what you are learning in ENT 3003?
I feel like this book shares many features that I also encountered in the course. For example my first pitch was really bad because I was struggeling with language barriers since I am an exchange student who speaks German as his mother tongue and therefore have a rather harsh accent. Moreover, I faced vocabulary gaps which made it hard to talk in front of the camera. Through hard work and dedication however, I managed to improve.
3) If you had to design an exercise for this class, based on the book you read, what would that exercise involve?
My exercise would be trying to write your name with your weak hand. After 20-25 minutes you will see huge improvements from your first attempt.
4) What was your biggest surprise or 'aha' moment when reading the book? In other words, what did you learn that differed most from your expectations?
The aha moment in this book was definitely his pursuit of goals. His goal oriented thinking is something very different from other people and he guided himself toward optimizing this technique
